Rectilinear Form
The house's defining feature is its rectilinear or box-like shape. This design choice prioritizes geometric simplicity and clean lines, creating a sense of order and clarity in the architectural composition.
Minimalist Aesthetics
Minimalism is the driving force behind the design. It focuses on the idea that "less is more," with an emphasis on using only essential elements to achieve a sense of calm and sophistication. In this context, minimalist aesthetics translate to a limited color palette, reduced ornamentation, and an uncluttered interior and exterior.
Monolithic Exterior
The exterior of the house embodies a monolithic quality. It often features a single material or finish, such as smooth concrete, sleek metal panels, or minimalist stucco, which contributes to the cohesive, box-like appearance
Large Expanses of Glass
To balance the simplicity of the form, large expanses of glass are a prominent feature. These expansive windows and glass doors serve multiple purposes, including maximizing natural light, connecting the interior with the exterior landscape, and creating a visual contrast with the solid, boxy structure.
Open Floor Plan
Inside, the open floor plan is a key architectural element. It eliminates unnecessary partitions and walls, promoting a sense of spaciousness and fluidity in the living areas. This design also allows for flexibility in furniture arrangement and encourages a seamless flow between rooms.
Minimalistic Interior Design
The interior design aligns with minimalist principles, featuring clean and unadorned surfaces, neutral color schemes, and a focus on functional furniture pieces. Minimalistic interiors prioritize a sense of serenity and order.
